Dear Pahle Friends and Caretakers:

Cocoa

We are Cocoa D'Amato and Bella Draba, your Holiday Hounds and a new brother and sister as our parents were married in September.  Cocoa has been coming here to Pahle for 4 years and Bella is now 1 1/2 years old and has been coming here since she was 4 months old.  We are glad we are no longer orphans and all live in the same crazy house along with our 3 cats, Charlie, Sally and Spook and our parakeet, Gracie.  Soon to come are some llama's and ponies for us to play with!  We tend to think of ourselves as the Dynamic Duo of Pahle!  By the way, Bella weighs 130 lbs and Cocoa is 40 lbs of trouble.

We are enjoying a good year in 2007.  The bad news is that our parents travel a lot with all that honeymoon stuff and their condo in Mexico.  The good news is that we get to spend a lot of time with our friends at Pahle - both those pretty two-legged ones (and handsome Andy of course!) as well s our four-legged friends.

We are waiting to get back to our home in Town of Waukesha.  It has been under renovation.  We have a dog run there, and unfortunately, a new electric dog fence as 10 acres isn't enough and we tend to go visiting.  Just because we leave the house to go visiting, we thought it was fun having humans run after us, we got this new fence as a surprise.  It's OK once you learn the ropes, but both of us have gotten zapped pretty good when trying to chase squirrels, raccoons, the horse next door, and the kids all around.

It's been getting cold outside and now we have snow so we've had to spend a little more time inside.  We don't mind it there so long as we have couches, chairs, beds to sleep in and lots of good grub to eat out of our mom's new "Kenner Easy Bake Oven" kitchen that was just remodeled so we don't keep helping ourselves.  Just Sunday afternoon we helped make Christmas cookies with mom and yesterday Bella stole a drawer full of all the dog treats for Cocoa's 4th birthday where she shared lots of Pupperoni, Greenie Treats, Dingo Bones and whatever else she could share with her brother, Cocoa.

We also enjoy entertainment, and fortunately we have that with the three cats and the bird we share the house with.  Fortunately, their suite is on the lower level and our suite is upstairs.  If they happen to come upstairs, we will jump off the couch and chase them around the house until they go back downstairs.  It's crazy in our house!

From our house to yours, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to everyone at Pahle and everyone who brings their dogs to Doggy Day Camp!  We like it here and you can't miss Bella through those windows.  She's learning how to sing "Jingle Bells"!  Cocoa prefers "I'm dreaming of some white dog treats"!
