Dr Jewell graduated from Kansas State University in 2005
and has just completed a challenging rotating medicine/surgical
internship at a very busy specialty/referral/emergency hospital in
Charlotte, NC. Dr. Jewell has focused on small animals but also
has an interest in avian and exotics.

- What is your favorite part of your position
at PSAC?

Getting to know all the family’s and their furrier family
members is great, but certainly the rare opportunity to work with an
entire staff that is exceptionally caring, knowledgeable, and
supportive.

4 cats (Riley, Charlotte, Tigger, Puffy)

- What is your greatest accomplishment in
life?

Becoming an Eagle Scout & now a Veterinarian
- What is/was your favorite pet?
·
“Wheezie” – (pet rat): Wonderfully sweet and inquisitive,
loved treats & snacks, loved to snuggle up close to you, would play with
the cats and wasn’t afraid (they were of her though), and she came to
you when you called her name. A great friend that will be dearly
missed.
- If you could meet anyone, living or dead,
who would it be and why?

Mother Teresa, to hear her stories and better understand
her faith, charity, openness and forgiveness through which she brought
her version of peace/love to the rest of the world.
- What is your favorite holiday and why?
·
Thanksgiving: Great to get together with family, always
too much wonderful food, football, and focusing on giving thanks for all
the people and blessings in our lives.
